- How to Play - Spinning Top - Simple and Easy but Classy and Cool! We can all agree on that. Easy to store and literally handy, it comes with a colourful wooden top measuring 3"x1.8"x1.8" and a string /chord. The top spins on a not-so-pointed nail bottom when the string rope coiled around its axis from bottom to top is released. No batteries or electronics, just plain old-school charm, and elegance. To be honest, we all know that you are going to borrow these from your kids, every now and then? Steam Toy boat / Putt-Putt Nav/ pop POP Boat - If your kids are past the paper boats, they will be amazed by this. Easy to store and carry, this tin boat measures 5.5" in length. It comes with a tin boat, a candle holder with wax, and a filler. Once the candle is lit under the boiler, the boat starts moving with the power of steam! Once the candle is over, it can be used with some oil and wick in the same candle holder. It is sure to “blow” their curious minds! Seven stones/ Lagori - Arguably one of the most popular games when 90’s kids were growing up, it comes with 7 flat stones and a ball. Two opposing teams play this game together, while one team tries to build a pyramid with these 7 stones, the other team tries to destroy it by hitting it with the ball. This game can get them off their “smartphones” !!Catapult/ Gulel - The “Desi Khel” Set would definitely be incomplete without this one! The Classic slingshot /catapult/ Gulel is a Y-shaped frame with rubber strips attached to the uprights. There is a “pocket” in the center of the string that is grasped by the dominant hand centered to “aim” something following a trajectory. Very easy to carry, it measures 6.5"x3.5"x0.4". To be honest, you can never outgrow catapults. Gilli Danda - Of course, we weren’t going to miss that! Also known as Vitti Dandu, kitty -Pul, and other variations, a lot of people can’t help comparing and choosing it over Cricket. It comes with one big stick called “Danda” and a small stick called “Gilli”. A player stands in a small circle and balances the Gilli in a hole. He /she hits it weird, once to lift the Gilli in the air and next to hit it as far as possible ( the farther, the more points) before running to an agreed point well before the Gilli is retrieved by the opposing team. The player is “out” if the Gilli is caught in the air by the opposing team.
