- HOW IT WORKS: Steam Boat: Step 1: Use the filler to fill the 2 pipes/tubes placed behind the boat with water and place the boat in a tub of water. Step 2: Light the candle and place it under the boiler inside the boat. The water in the boiler turns into steam which escapes and propels the boat forward using a steam jet effect. The remaining steam condenses and sucks in more water and the cycle continues till the candle or fire dies out. Once the candle is over, use a wick and oil in the candle holder and play again.
- HOW IT WORKS: Gilli Danda: The game is played with two sticks, a large one called a danda which is used to hit a smaller one, the gili. Standing in a small circle, the player balances the gili on a stone in an inclined manner (somewhat like a see-saw) with one end of the gili touching the ground while the other end in the air. The player then uses the danda to hit the gili at the raised end and flips it into the air. While it is in the air, the player strikes the gili, hitting it as far as possible. Having struck the gili, the player is required to run and touch a pre-agreed point before the gili is retrieved by an opponent. The player is “out” if the Gilli is caught in the air by the opposing team. Another way of playing is once the gili falls, the opponent will measure the length from the center till the place where the gili falls with the help of the danda and calculate points.
